Then a air bag light pops up. That wasn't there before.. hmm... I'll have it looked at
Breaks- ok, just maintenance. ($150)
Got a great deal on a car! Sales process was smooth and quick. They handled everything with the DMV which was excellent. 3 months later and the car is still running awesome. Bring a mechanic if you aren't sure, but in our case we knew what to look for.
My thought at that point was " ok, it's a used car, it happens"
Oh wait, a very well respected and trusting auto mechanic just told me that on the right side my break was compressed by another part and I've been driving with a constant break on the right driver side tire (oh well that's safe) sarcastically speaking!!
I went back, received the handles, he told me to call when I wanted them put on. So I looked at the handles, had a body shop manager who I am very close too look at them and was told they where the wrong ones. The body shop manager ordered me new ones and had them out on ($150)
Oh there's a bunch of missing parts on the bottom of my car which hold everything together. Get that fixed for ($135)
Being a single mother I didn't have much to spend on a car and 4,000 was about what I had, let's just say I felt like I threw my Money in the trash, I've only had this vehicle for three months and these are the things that went wrong with it.
Today-
We bought a 93 GMC Jimmy from him and expected it to last us at least a year. a week later things went wrong. he said that the price included our tags. then he charged us extra for the tags. a week later the serpentine belt broke. then the heater hose blew then the brakes went. we went to have them fixed and they said they needed to replace the entire break line system and found out the fuel lines and shocks and struts were almost completely rusted through. so now we have a giant piece of scrap metal. obviously we should have been more careful but he should have never sold a vehicle in that condition.
Third week-
So I go to get that fixed, well come to find out the water pump has already been replaced, and they used the wrong bolts put a crap ton of spacers to make them fit on. Completely rigged not to perfection at all!!
(So that's another $200)
I open the hood and look. Oh there's coolant leaking everywhere out of my water pump, I better go get that fixed too. Before I got that fixed and I'm looking around there's bolts missing everywhere!!! How is this car not falling apart??
Get it looked at and the codes not readable because the original code was erased! Figures!
Not even the 5th week-
bought a vehicle from him and a drove it for a day then lights all came on the dashboard. I went back and he hooked up his code machine and said oh it's just the gas cap. I'll switch it off... light came back on after driving a lil bit after! so now you know, he does that so you can buy the vehicle and think it has no issues cause nothing's lit up on the dash. also when you talk to him I think you can see what kind of sneaky trickster he is!
8th week -
Driving and notice a burning smell. At this point I'm ready to drive it back to Nicole's and them them to take it back because I don't want this piece of crap anymore!!
I bought an 03 Toyota matrix, not too happy. I've had to spend so much money fixing this car that I'm very upset about it.
my air bag light is popping on and off while I'm driving hope I can take care of that before inspection in October!!
Oh and look there's an electrical problem with the car also!! Cool! Just what I wanted!!
Nice guy but the Mechanic he uses is a shady as they come and boy does he like to cut corners he needs to fine him a real mecahinic with a real garage
First week-
I am fumming mad, absolutely amazed how someone could sell a car like this for 3,600 I feel like I should if paid $1000 max for this vehicle. In total this car has cost me almost an additional $2,000 which isn't easy for a single mother. The owner is nice but my god does need a better mechanic and I'm amazed with the type of person he is to sell me an unsafe vehicle knowing that I am a mother!!!!
I will never go to Nicole's auto sales ever again and will never recommend them!!!
My mechanic fixed it and at that point told me to never bring that piece of crap to his shop again unless I need maintence.($350)
There's a loud thunk every time I hit the tiniest bump. So I got that checked also (at this point I'm very mad)
Tires - ok fine, no problem I'll fix that if the tire didn't roll off unexpected while me and the children where in my car. (Cost $400) for all new tires
I knew when I bought the vehicle that there was no handles to the back doors. The owner said he would have them the next day and that his mechanic will put them on.
